End of the Telegraph Era
The world’s final telegram is to be sent in India next month. This is the flip side of innovation. We spend so much time peering at the other end of the technology lifecycle, maybe we should take a second to reflect on how quickly our smartphones will be obsolete and even Google Glasses will become a quaint relic. As someone who started their career trained to manage a comm center, I find the passing into history of telegraphy kind of sad – although to be honest, I’m a little surprised to learn it lasted this long.
