One Ring to Rule Them All, from Smartphone to Door Lock
Thanks to TechCrunch for alerting us to what the best-dressed office geeks will be wearing next season. Yes indeed, everyone will soon be opening doors with this fashion accessory. Literally. This near field communications ring can be linked to the office front door, smartphones, payment processors, and many more. It used to be the badge nerds were the guys with their picture dangled on a white card around their necks; now they’ll be harder to spot, with a simple metal band on a finger.
So what will be the etiquette for finger placement? Obviously the third finger of left (right in Europe) hand is reserved for other uses. The index finger is a little obvious. Maybe to make a cool “what, this thing?” statement it should go on the pinky.
