VCs Are Hot For Bitcoin
Well, some of them are. TechCrunch reports that a network of angel investors have raised $7 million in Bitcoin, and even invested $100,000 of it in an offshore (literally – it’s in international waters) startup incubator, BlueSeed. The initial starry-eyes have been joined by others over the last month and have brought their capital up to nearly $18 million.
Reasons to invest in Bitcoin:
- tax advantages,
- regulatory freedom, and
- you could make a bundle if it catches on.
Reasons NOT to invest in Bitcoin:
- it’s not actually money.
